Sue has dysentery. Sue has died.

Those of us who were children in the 1980′s remember one thing about getting class work done early, and that is that we got to wait the ten minutes it took to boot up our favorite Edutainment game, The Oregon Trail.

And though we tried again and again to have enough bullets, to be expert huntsmen, to keep our party alive while pushing a punshing pace, many of us couldn’t survive the final trip floating down the Willamette, or paying the toll for the Barlow trail.

Well now, we can relive our glory and experience the classic game like you never imagined. Some creative folks over at Half Day Today created a spoof movie trailer about the game.

In 1864, a family embarks on an impossible journey into the untamed American West.

    Ha, I remember that game! That’s funny that they made a film promotion out of the game.
